We love to see pictures of our fans and their Jeeps. In the first issue of our new series “The Driver’s Seat,” we meet Cindy Golden from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Tell us about your Jeep!
I have a 2012 Gecko Green JKU with a 3 1/2" Teraflex lift, Bilstein shocks, AEV wheels and 35" BFG tires. Other mods include a cut off stubby front bumper, new rear bumper, rock rails, three LED pods, a 22" light bar on the front rail with two more square LED pods on the A-pillar, black doorhinges, upgraded hood latches, and a backup camera. I also added purple accents both inside and out - grill insert, purple star, and vinyl stickers just to name a few.
What is the last mod you made to your Jeep?
I just added a JKF Alien Sunshade as well as the mirror relocation brackets to make removing doors a breeze as the original mirror stays attached.
Tell us about your first Jeep.
This is my first Jeep. I bought it used in February of 2015 with 26K miles and a bad case of death wobble. My husband and I rescued it, fixed the death wobble and added a few things to it. It came with the lift, shocks and tires, but everything else was stock and it was ugly. It had three circle lights on the front bumper which we removed and replaced with the three LED pods :-)
How do you pay for your Jeep addiction?
I did own a pet sitting business, but I sold it earlier this year. As my friends say, I am now a kept woman – HAHA. My husband owns a real estate and property management company and buys whatever I want for my Jeep - I like adding stickers and gadgets to it. :)
What is your favorite place to off-road?
Carolina Beach - Freeman Park and Fort Fisher Park are both great there.
Are you a member of a Jeep club?
What advice would you give to someone buying their first Jeep?
